Jeff Lowe - Bass

Jeff lives in Massillon, Ohio with his wife Rona, daughter Lauren and their dog Max. Jeff sings Bass and handles the emcee work for Mercy River. Saved at the age of 12, Jeff learned to sing bass in church standing next to his father. “My dad could sing all four parts, we’d start off singing bass together, then he’d jump up to tenor, I’d follow him but he always told me to stay down on bass.” Jeff learned to love Southern Gospel quartet music listening to tapes of the Inspirations. At the age of 14 Jeff went to see the Inspirations in concert with the Happy Goodman Family, that was it, Jeff was hooked. Some months later Jeff began singing with The Soulseekers, from Akron, Ohio.

Jeff was the founder and Bass singer for The Master’s Quartet and has had the privilege to minister in services with Gold City, The Inspirations and The Freemans. In addition Jeff has sung with the Songsters and GloryWay Quartet.

After being out of gospel music for several years Jeff began feeling God’s call on his life once again to return to gospel music and ministering through song, Jeff began praying and seeking God’s direction and through those prayers and searching, Mercy River Quartet was born.

“It’s an honor to sing with these guys. God has truly blessed in bringing this group together, by connecting four guys that have the same heart for ministry and love for souls. I don’t know where God is going to lead us or what He has in store for us, but I know that the four of us are willing to follow His direction, wherever it may be.”
